KCL in partnership with KBA and FSD Kenya conceptualized and implemented a blended finance project to provide access to finance for the SMEs and MSMEs. The project formed a consortium of four banks including KCB, Standard Chartered, Sidian, and ABSA bank to provide access to finance to the SMEs seeking funds. KCL conducted technical, financial due diligence of the projects and prepared business cases of enterprises seeking bank financing.
A total of KES 295 million projects were presented to the banks for further financing. Assisted in designing green financing products (Guarantee mechanism) to enable banks to obtain better credit appraisal of the enterprise loan.
